If you are struggling with anxiety, addiction, or relationship issues of any kind, I am here to provide the help you need. I have worked as a counsellor in the South West for over 15 years, giving clients of all backgrounds a safe, warm, compassionate space to explore their issues and supporting them to heal and recognise their own inner potential for growth. Reaching out for counselling can be daunting, especially if you haven’t done it before, but taking that first step is the hardest and most important part of your journey towards a better place.
Feel free to give me a call at any time to ask any questions you might have about my counselling in Cirencester and online.
I take a flexible, personalised approach to my work with clients, starting off in a person-centered way – allowing you to bring what you like to the session and giving you unconditional positive regard throughout. After we have a clear understanding of your situation, I will take a more directive approach, taking care to notice how you relate to me, yourself, and the wider world, as well as challenging you on certain beliefs you hold about yourself. Our work will be about more than just giving you a place to talk; this is a space where we actively get to the root cause of your issues and, through working collaboratively, move forward with greater mindfulness, peace, and self-acceptance.
I understand how hard it is to live with anxiety. That constant negative, catastrophising inner voice stops you from ever feeling at peace with yourself – like having a fire alarm going off in your head when there’s no fire. Our work will revolve around helping you break the cycle of feeding that negative wolf, changing your critical voice into something more compassionate. I have experience in working with all forms of anxiety, such as generalised anxiety disorder, shyness, panic attacks, social anxiety, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
My work with addiction is based on the 12-step programme, where we recognise the role addiction plays in your life and look to find a power greater than yourself to break the cycle. By looking at your addiction from a compassionate, curious perspective, we will identify the core reasons behind why you became addicted in the first place. Looking at the ‘why’ behind your addiction – whether it’s alcohol, drugs, sex, shopping, gambling, or eating – is the only way we can reach a place where you don’t feel the need to keep sinking into certain substances or behaviours as a way of making yourself feel better.
I am experienced in helping individuals who are struggling with relationship issues of all kinds. This could include difficulties around addiction affecting a family or marriage, or perhaps people living with self-esteem issues around relationships. You might be constantly running into the same unhealthy relationships, have issues with boundaries, or suffer from domestic abuse. Whatever relationship issue you are going through, I give you a safe, confidential place to talk them through.

I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute consultation over the phone before diving into sessions together. This is your chance to get a feel for me as a therapist and decide whether you’d be comfortable working with me going forward. You can also ask any questions that may be on your mind. You aren’t required to talk about any of your issues in depth if you don’t want to, but I do encourage clients to walk me through what has brought them to therapy, as this makes it easier for us to tackle the heart of the issue in future sessions.
Supervision
Along with working as a counsellor in Cirencester and online, I am also qualified to provide a clinical supervision service to those in my profession. Supervision is such a fundamental part of being a therapist, whether you are still a trainee or have practiced for many years. This is a trusting, friendly space for you to bring any difficulties you are facing within your profession out into the open and feel supported by others in your field, ensuring you continue to grow both professionally and personally.
Pricing and Session Length
All sessions are 50 minutes and cost £60. I offer flexible pay-as-you-go sessions or packages, as well as a sliding scale for those on lower income.
I understand that reaching out for therapy can be scary, but I am here to make the process as easy and friendly as possible. My practice is a safe, strictly confidential space for you to talk through what’s bothering you in your own time, and in your own way. To learn a bit more about counselling in Cirencester and online, don’t hesitate to give me a call.
Ever since a young age, I have been curious about the problem of addiction and why people behave in the way they do, always doing what I could to give support to those who were struggling. Along with 15 years of experience as a qualified counsellor in Cirencester, I have worked in residential rehabilitation clinics for 10 years, as well as over a year doing voluntary work, and have a decade of experience in supporting clients with low self-esteem, anxiety, relationship issues, anger, and other trauma-related problems.
My passion has always been to work with clients to overcome negative patterns through the power of compassionate enquiry, helping them to understand what initial pain lies behind maladaptive behaviours like addiction. To this day, I am always working to improve the quality of my service for clients through regular CPD, including managing anxiety, relapse prevention and Compassionate Focused Therapy.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07904797339 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential and uses secure phone and email services.
